Attach any file to a page — a spreadsheet, an image, a related document — so it travels with the PDF.

Attaching a file​

  1. Choose the Attachment tool from the Insert tools.
  2. Pick a file to attach.
  3. Tap where on the page you want the attachment icon to appear (tap-to-place).

Opening an attachment​

  • Tap an existing attachment to save its file to your device.
  • For your safety, attachments are only ever saved to disk — never opened automatically.
tip

Saving an attachment is free — no subscription required. Only inserting a new attachment is a Pro feature.

Attaching a file is different from Insert Image, which places a visible picture on the page. An attachment is a file bundled inside the PDF, represented by an icon.
