What differs by platform​
Most features work everywhere. A few depend on hardware or platform APIs:
- Document Scanner uses the device camera and is available on Android and iOS.
- Scanned document sync is tied to the scanner, so it is mobile-only.
- On-device OCR runs with ML Kit on Android and Vision on iOS. Desktop on-device OCR is not available yet.
- Two-page layout is being stabilized and is currently hidden.
- Local AI (Ollama / Kokoro) for chat and text-to-speech is desktop-only.
- Show in Finder (reveal a file in the OS file manager) is desktop-only.
Mobile vs desktop layout​
The viewer adapts to your screen:
- Mobile (compact): a top bar plus a bottom tab bar (View, Edit, Tools, Settings, Contents), with bottom sheets for panels.
- Desktop/tablet (expanded): a toolbar with a left navigation rail (Pages, Tools, Contents, Settings) and a right drawer for panels.
